Not every one of us dreams of a large wedding party for 100 or 200 people organized in a room specially rented and prepared for the occasion. An increasing number of people are choosing to have intimate parties at home and celebrate this special day only with their loved ones.
There are quite many advantages of such choice. This is primarily a considerable saving of money – you don't have to bear the costs of renting a room or a band.
A lot of brides also admit that this type of ceremony is associated with much less stress – you are in a place that you know well and with people who you can feel at ease.
Depending on the size of the place, you can have the reception at home, on the terrace or in the garden. If you don't have enough tables and chairs, rent them from a company providing such services. Preparing and serving meals is best handled by a catering company.
When it comes to decorations, it's a good idea to match them to the style in which your house was decorated. You can use some candles and fresh flowers, preferably from the backyard garden. If you don't have a lot of space, limit the amount of decorations to a minimum, so as not to further limit the available space.
No wedding, also organized at home, can do without music. Make sure beforehand that the equipment you have produces sound both audible and of good quality. If not – borrow another one. Also alert your neighbors about the planned event and the day after it, visit them with a piece of wedding cake :)
